Shadow

Xueer Cai

In my childhood, shadow was my friend.

My shadow was always changing. Sometimes it looked like a monster hanging on the wall, while sometimes it seemed as if a fish swimming in deep water. It often appeared as a same-looking guy as me, silently tagging along. However, occasionally, it met me as a grown-up under the street light. It seemed that this simple optical phenomenon possessed endless magic power, easily breaking off the rules and regulations filling in the city, attaching to everywhere. In the extreme world alone, after meeting this omnipotent friend, I can’t help to look forward to the infinity of possibility in the future.

The shadow, is the gathering collection of fantasy in childhood, which was unfortunately forgotten as the time went on.

Whether the visual effect of light and shadow or the familiar scenes can all be reproduced. What we cannot retrieve is the surprise and shock just happened at the very moment. What cannot be replayed is the most initial craziness and fearless.
